While interviews continue in Kathmandu, the mountain fieldwork has reached Namche.

Our fieldwork now follows two parallel paths. In Kathmandu, the team is gathering interviews around the UIAA General Assembly. In the Khumbu, the filming journey has reached Namche: Vincent reported his arrival on 29 October.

This second strand will help bring the documentary beyond the setting of an international gathering. The planned work includes filming the places through which the team travels and seeking conversations with people whose lives and work are connected to the mountains.

For now, this is a first dispatch from the route. We will share the encounters and perspectives that emerge as the fieldwork develops, alongside the conversations taking place in Kathmandu.
